Today We Will Learn How to Create User in SQL Server, Users are very important for security purpose. If you want to any person or user don’t change any query in your database. You should create user and assign role, it is perfect for you. If you have installed SQL Server and you don’t create User, after installing you can do it as well.

First of All I tell you with the help of design mode, than query type. After that you will create user in sql server as well. Basically, there are two ways I will tell you step by step.

How to Create User in SQL Server?

Step 1: First of All you need to open SQL server and connect with Windows Authentication mode. Below I have shared screen shot you can see here.


Step 2: After the connect SQL Server, you need to right click Server Name>Properties. You can see below screenshot attached.

Step 03: After that left side you can see Security Option Click It. After Cilcking You can See Server Authentication Options, Check Second Option SQL Server and Windows Authentication Mode.


Step 04: After that Simple Click OK Button, After Click OK Button You need to Restart Server Name. Right Click Server Name Like (DESKTOP-QG2VIHO) than Cilck Restart Button.


Step 05: After Complete Above Procedure you need to Right Click Security Folder>New>Login. Below Screenshot Attached you can see here.

Right-Click-Security-New-LoginStep 06: After that Left Side General Options, Enter Login Name as you like. Select SQL Server Authentication, than Enter the Passowrd. Check Only Enforce Policy Option, uncheck another checked options. Below Screenshot attached you can see here.

Step 07: After complete above procedure, you need to Click Server Roles Option. After Click Server Roles Option you simply check sysadmin Option.

Server-Role-OptionStep 08: After that you need to Click User Mapping Option. After Clicking User Mapping check Database If you want to authorize. Here I have selected Tutorial Database Checked, and don’t change any other options.

You simply Click Third Option “The Server (DESKTOP-QG2). Below I have shared screenshot of this option.


Step 11: After Click Add Object Option, you can Server Name automatically dispaly in your Securables Box. That’s it simply click Ok, Button and Disconnect to Windows Authentication mode or Restart SQL Server. Select Authentication Mode Like (SQL Server Authentication), than you need to enter user Name and Password.
